Nine Children's Pieces
Menus Propos Enfantins
Easier Piano Pieces · No.13
Komponist: Erik Satie
Die poetischen Stücke werden in Text und Musik gleichzeitig dargeboten. Eine humorvolle Übung für Kinder in der Manier des ungewöhnlichen Komponisten.
Vorwort auf Englisch:
Erik Satie (1866-1925) was an eccentric French composer whose harmonic innovations had considerable influence on Debussy, Ravel, Poulenc and Gage. His piano compositions may at first appear somewhat insubstantial, but their subtle simplicity displays a real poetic gift. These three groups of pieces, all written in 1913, are deceptively easy and are ingeniously devised to make füll and basic use of the five fingers of each band. The accompanying texts are by Satie himself, and the English translations are by Marcus Toulmin-Rothe.
